Bishop & Sister Cook - Founders

Bishop Dennis and JoAnn Cook are the founding pastors of Crossroad Apostolic Church (1989) and the Crossroad Learning Center (2000).  Married for 30 years, they are proud of their three grown children - Jason, Aaron and Sarah and two wonderful daughter-in-laws - Sue and Jacqueline.  Before coming to Howell in 1989, the Cook family pastored a home missions church in Sutherlin, Oregon for four years and worked with the White family to establish Christian Lighthouse in Mt. Clemens, Michigan for five years.  Bishop Dennis Cook graduated from Conqueror's Bible College in Portland, Oregon and evangelized for four years in his early ministry  In addition he has worked for the U.S. Post Office for the past 28 years.  Enjoying their retirement from active pastoral ministry, the Cook family is active in their community.  Sis. Cook is a certified family life educator and provides training for preschool teachers and child care providers in both Livingston and Genesse Counties.  Bishop Cook serves as a consultant to Pastor Anthony Harris of New Birth Church in Flint and to Pastor Michael Brown of Crossroads.

In their free time, the Cooks enjoy a variety of pursuits.  Bishop collects old radio programs and enjoys spectator sports of all kinds.  Sis. Cook enjoys writing, kayaking, gardening and basket weaving.  Bishop and Sis. Cook are looking forward to the birth of their first grandchild in February of 2012 - stay tuned for updates!
